Description: The design of this four-hour Cal-OSHA awareness course is to describe the civil and criminal penalties for violations of statutes and regulations regarding worker safety.

  • Definition of Assembly Bill 1127
  • Violations
  • Penalty Assessments
  • Hazard Recognition
  • Evaluation and Controls
  • Basic Principles of Safety
Upon completion, the student will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the following topics:

  • Type of Penalties and Definitions
  • Pre-Planning Inspections
  • Identifying to abate hazards
  • Statistics
  • Employee's rights
Students will receive and be quizzed as a group and provided a written exam to ensure comprehension of subject matters discussed. 

Documentation: Sign in sheets are required to document the number of students that will receive a certificate of copmletion, issued upon completion. Please allow up to 48 hours on class sizes greater than 30.
